The 518D nonconductive, thermoplastic hose, for aerial boom lifts, has a new core material that is more resistant to permeation and an outer jacket that withstands up to 5× more abrasion resistance. The lightweight and easy-to-handle hose comes in 1Ž/8’ to 1/4-in. ID.

The hose is used in pressure, suction, and return lines; in pilot lines; on outriggers; and on the actual boom-cable track. In the cable track, multiline bonded hoses reduce jacket wear and extend the life of the hose. Installing one bonded hose instead of multiple hoses lowers material cost, reduce installation time, and lowers finishedassembly weight.
