Emergency cable-pull switches

Aug. 30, 2013
The ZQ700 and ZQ900 emergency cable-pull switches provide continuous E-stop protection along exposed areas of machinery and conveyors. The ZQ900 provides protection for a cable span up to 50 m (165 ft). For circuit flexibility, it comes with either two (1NO/1NC or 2NC) or four contacts (2NO/2NC, 1NO/3NC, or 4NC). The ZQ900 has a strong metal housing, a position indicator window, and can be fitted with an indicator light. For smaller machinery, the ZQ700 provides E-stop protection for up to 10 m (32 ft) and is available with two contacts (1NO/1NC or 2NC). It has a narrow thermoplastic housing. Both switches have an reset button because a latching mechanism maintains the emergency stop position when the cable is pulled and the switch is actuated. The switches will also fail-safe: the cable being cut or going slack will also result in actuation and machine stoppage.Schmersal USA, 660 White Plains Rd., Suite 160, Tarrytown, NY 10591, (914) 347-4775, www.schmersalusa.com
