Conductive coating

Dec. 11, 2013
A sodium-silicate, aqueous-based silver conductive coating is designed for applications where the effectiveness of EMI shielding is paramount.

MB600S is a one-component, water-based system that is relatively nontoxic and can be brushed or sprayed on. The coating offers temperature resistance to 700°F, bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, and is a highly effective moisture barrier.

MB600S cures at room temperature in 24 to 48 hr or in 1 to 2 hr at 80°C. If heat curing, users should ramp up the temperature over a 15 to 30 min interval to prevent any possible blistering of the material.
