Custom-designed and injection-molded liquid-silicone-rubber (LSR) thin-walled diaphragms are for medical-device applications that require high strength and flexibility.

Advantages of LSR diaphragms include heat resistance to 180°C, good flexibility down to –45°C, good electrical insulating characteristics, and resistance to UV radiation and weathering. The diaphragms are produced using a very clean molding process with no material preprocessing. Components are molded with minimal flash, depending on part complexity, and the LSR material has a repeatable, short cycle time that reduces or eliminates secondary operations.
