Artistic expression isn’t something we talk about much in manufacturing, but a 3D-printed art gallery at the 2015 RAPID Prototyping show in Long Beach, Calif., showed how the combination of art and technology can be a beautiful thing. A series of 3D-printed sculptures demonstrated different technologies in 3D printing that included some of the software used and 3D scanning to manipulate images into printable structures.
