The SAE World Congress will be held at Cobo Center, Detroit, from April 14 to 17.

Participating OEMs include BMW of North America, Chrysler (2008 Host Company), Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan, and Toyota. Avery-Dennison, Borg Warner, Dassault Systemes, Henkel, Lear, PPG, and Yazaki will also be on hand in the OEM/Supplier Park.

The Technology Pavilion will offer exhibits on powertrain, propulsion and energy efficiency, materials, electronics, safety, testing, and simulation. The Technical Program’s 1,500 published technical papers will be available.

The FEV Powertrain Innovation Forum will involve high-level discussion of powertrain issues. The 40 seminar topics include: Managing Engineering and Technical Professionals, Engineering Project Management, Fundamentals of Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Fundamentals of Automotive Fuel Delivery Systems, and Compact Heat Exchangers for Automotive Applications. Over 700 companies representing the global automotive supply chain will participate.

And engineers will have an opportunity to explore available jobs. On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a Career Fair Exhibit involving major OEMs, suppliers, and recruiters.
