Energy-efficient PM motors
A line of permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) fulfill the soon-to-be-implemented IE4 (Super Premium Efficiency) classification. The motors are 40% more efficient than IE2 inverter- driven squirrel cage motors.
The PMSM Series features a highly efficient rotor design that uses embedded permanent magnets made from rare-earth material.
The motor’s synchronous design maintains constant speed independent of the load. The units come in ventilated and nonventilated configurations across a 0.55 to 15-kW power range, operate on 380 to 500-V power supplies, and are rated for inverter duty.
