Ratchet clutches control motion in several ways — one-way left, one-way right, freewheeling, and fully locked.

Features & benefits

  • Clutch body contains only a gear, control lever, and two spring-loaded pawls

  • Moving control lever to the side engages a pawl and permits driving of gear in one direction only; moving it to the other side drives gear in opposite direction

  • Neutral position causes gear to engage with both pawls and prevents it from turning

  • Static torque range is 200 to 6,260 lb-ft, with overrunning speeds of 250 rpm and 30 rpm, respectively
