Save time with displacement sensing

Long-life sensors reduce downtime

LP750 linear position sensors save maintenance time and cost over more delicate potentiometers. These noncontact, long-stroke displacement sensors operate in rugged environments and are suited for industrial applications such as machine tool positioning and automated assembly equipment. Constructed of stainless steel, the hermetically sealed sensors withstand high ambient temperatures. Providing frictionless position feedback similar to a potentiometer, LP750 sensors have no parts to wear out, offering unlimited cycle life and greater performance than a pot. Sensors are available in standard ranges of 3.75 to 24 in. and three outputs. Visit

Cable extension sensors allow easy installation

WS 31 cable extension sensors feature a mounting bracket that allows flexible installation and position measurement in almost every direction. These linear position sensors offer measuring ranges of 10 and 20 in. and use a highly flexible stainless steel cable that is drawn onto a cable drum. An internal spring maintains cable tension and ensures that the cable is recoiled as a single layer on the drum. The output signal is proportional to the length of cable that has been pulled out of the sensor by the moving object. With a compact size of 1.7 × 1.2 × 1.2 in., sensors can be quickly integrated into existing systems whenever direct displacement measurement feedback is needed. Visit

Noncontact sensors use FPGA technology

ECL202 eddy-current displacement/position sensors have improved thermal stability and immunity to electromagnetic interference as well as improved linearity and resolution. The sensor employs FPGA technology, enabling complex mathematical algorithms to achieve higher performance levels than purely analog methods. Digital technology precisely detects the sensor's signal and differentiates it from other electrical signals in the environment, so the sensor works well in electrically noisy environments such as near motor controllers. Internal calibration tables of tens of thousands of points assure precise linearity. Sensing range is 0.020 to 0.6 in. Two outputs are offered — analog 0 to 10 V or digital setpoint switch closure.
