A free download, the Inventor Publisher Technology Preview on Autodesk Labs lets users easily create interactive, 3D product documentation such as animated assembly instructions or repair and maintenance guides. The software works directly with digital CAD data to generate exploded views and view sequences. Once authored, documentation can be published in a variety of formats including .SWF, .AVI, .DWF, .PPT, .PDF, and other common image file types. It can then be made available on the Web or delivered electronically via email. Autodesk Inc., 111 McInnis Parkway, San Rafael, Calif. 94903, www.autodesk.com
