Software Supports Complex Engineering Environments

Sept. 1, 2005
Pro/Intralink 8.0 data-management software handles distributed and complex engineering environments.

Pro/Intralink 8.0 integrates with Pro/E to provide Webbased data management across distributed engineering environments.

Using Web architecture based on Windchill 8.0, the developer reports it requires up to 40% fewer mouse clicks for finding, downloading, and updating models, as compared to nonintegrated systems. Even nonengineering users can access product information with a browser. Other features for distributed-product-development include good WAN performance, scalability, and security. It also has capability for document, life-cycle management, reporting, and archiving.
