Company Opens Nano-Ink Production Facility for 3D-Printed Electronics

Oct. 21, 2017
The startup has made strides in R&D for 3D printing electronics. Now, it makes its transition to commercial sales with the opening of a new nano-ink facility.

Nano Dimension Technologies Ltd. announces the opening of its production facility located near its headquarters in Israel. The facility will be dedicated to producing nano-particle inks used by the company's DragonFly 2020 Pro 3D printer, which is capable of depositing both dielectric and conductive inks to create full electronics like the multilayer printed circuit board (PCB) shown below.

Located in the same building as the company's R&D facility, the facility will employ high-precision equipment scaled for mass producing conductive and dielectric inks. The inks' particles are optimally sized for precision 3D printing. Since opening the facility, the company has also made its transition to commercial sales with the installation of its DragonFly 2020 at the University of Technology Sydney.

“We have made significant progress over the past several months to design and engineer an innovative continuous manufacturing process to enable us to increase production of our nano particle inks and compatible dielectric materials,” says Amit Dror, CEO of Nano Dimension. “This extremely complicated process has been installed at our ink production facility, and it will allow us to efficiently scale-up and maintain our ability to supply customers with advanced materials, produced at our technologically sophisticated and cost-efficiently operated production facility, while keeping the trade secrets of the unique production processes.”
