I’ve heard it many times. 3D printing can do anything: free complexity, full assembly, disruption of industry. While some of this is true, it is important to understand there is no cure-all in manufacturing. Every process has limitations, strengths, pros, and cons. The following provides excerpts from the recent article “11 Myths of Additive Manufacturing,” along with my own notes on the topic.
