24-VDC Gearmotor

June 2, 2005
A gearmotor measures 2.14 in. in diameter by 7.25-in. long and has a 25-mm-long keyed output shaft 12 mm in diameter.

The motor mounts with four face-mount M5-threaded holes equally spaced around a 40-mm diameter B.C. Output of the gearmotor is rated at 2.9-Nm continuous torque at 160 rpm with a 9-nm peak. Options include integrated optical encoders, fail-safe brakes, analog tachometers, and planetary gearheads with standard ratios from 3:1 to 450:1 in standard or lowbacklash gearing. The motor requires 3 A at 24 Vdc for full-rated load with 12-Vdc windings available.
