During its Fall Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M., the Association for High Technology Distribution (AHTD) introduced its new mission, following the identification of critical factors impacting the industry and association.

With several factors impacting the industry's engineers, including the fact that offshore competition (engineering services and labor) is increasing and industry consolidation will continue to impact the channel, it was decided that the new mission is:

AHTD is comprised of automation solution provider and manufacturer members who deliver technology-based products, services, and solutions to the automation marketplace. Our mission is to maximize member profit and growth through education and networking, identifying and attracting emerging technologies and products, and fostering partnerships and alliances to deliver solutions.
