CAD edits models faster

Oct. 25, 2007
Alibre Design 10.0 parametric 3D CAD software for mechanical design includes a Fast Views feature that projects 2D views of large or complex models 10 to 25% of the time previously needed.

A Direct Editing toolset provides push-pull modeling, letting users quickly move, add, and remove design elements. A new inferencing engine automates many editing functions, further reducing the time it takes to make complex changes. For example, it easily identifies a pocket made up of multiple faces by simply clicking on a single face. A new manufacturing add-on, Alibre CAM, supports 2.5 and three-axis milling and runs inside the CAD program.
