The days of changing your vehicle's oil every 3,000 miles may be nearing an end.

The days of changing your vehicle's oil every 3,000 miles may be nearing an end. A palm-sized oil-purifying system called LuberClean from Pure Oil Inc., American Fork, Utah, uses a proprietary process to constantly remove water, fuel, vapor, and gaseous contaminants, keeping oil consistently pure. The result: 100,000-mile oil changes for big rigs and 30,000-mile changes for passenger cars and trucks. LuberClean installs in seconds using regular hand tools, says the company.
