A glow-in-the-dark Colorcomp Glow resin is being used for automotive emergency truck handles. The handles, made from a polypropylene resin and phosphorescent pigments, activate faster than traditional glow-in-the-dark resins, which is important because trunks are usually open for only brief amounts of time. Molded parts are pad printed with simplistic pictures of a hand pulling on a handle and a person escaping from a trunk. Additional benefits of Colorcomp Glow in this application reportedly include toughness and easy molding.
