The Wright-Austin separator removes moisture and liquid droplets with 99% efficiency and particulates down to 10 microns. The air, steam, or gas is directed into a circular motion inside the separator. Centrifugal force throws moisture and droplets to the outer wall of the separator where they are drained and removed. A containment plate prevents liquids from reentering the flow and eliminates the need for baffles or deflectors that obstruct flow. Hence, output is clean and dry with little line pressure lost. The separators are built of iron, carbon steel, or stainless steel with either threaded, flanged, or butt-welded pipe connections for pipelines up to 48 in. in diameter. The compact units can be self-supporting when installed.
