Esprit 2002 features a solid simulation and verification tool to round out the SolidTurn toolkit, providing synchronized solid simulation of multifunction mill/turn machines and Swissstyle lathes. For SolidMill, the new Project Manager offers full support for four or five-axis production milling and enhances performance of automatic feature recognition and automated pocketing and contouring cycles. Esprit 2002 includes improved knowledge-based machining capabilities to support the latest in EDM and control design for ONA, Agie, Charmilles, and more. Esprit 2002 directly reads native Catia files and creates toolpaths for milling, turning, and wire-EDM directly from Catia solids, surfaces, or wireframe geometry. This release supports machining of native files from Autocad, Solid Edge, Solid Works, and Unigraphics.
