Electronic Record Of Medication Doses

May 17, 2000
The Izzo System electronically records the precise moment a patient takes medication.

The Izzo System electronically records the precise moment a patient takes medication. It keeps an inventory of remaining doses and provides data analyses with electronically generated compliance reports. The system consists of two integrated, portable devices: a closed drug container or cartridge and the drug dispenser or recorder. Only one dose can be given at a time, and tampering leaves physical evidence. Each cartridge holds 14 doses and is said to be easily labeled in accordance with FDA regulations.
