Zero-maintenance bearings, an option for the company’s Schmidt offset couplings, eliminate the need for periodic coupling lubrication and the resulting system downtime.

The new Schmidt sealed bearing coupling incorporates needle bearings with internal micropoly lubrication. Because there are no lube fittings, coupling setup is cleaner. The bearing option keeps out contaminants and foreign matter, allowing the couplings to be used in less than ideal operating environments.

The couplings handle high parallel offset up to 17 in., are available with torque capacities to 459,000 lb-in., impose no side loads on shafts or bearings, and eliminate radial shaft vibrations.
