New 1000 and 1100 Series low-profile incremental rotary encoders, with block commutation tracks, are suitable for use in smalldimensioned servomotors. The encoders are equipped with an industry-standard 35-mm housing and feature opto-ASICbased photoelectric scanning with interpolation. The encoders can be connected to most standard electronics that control servomotors (up to edge lengths of 40 and 55 mm).

Currently available: the 1023 encoder for use in hazardous environments, with an overall length of 35.2-mm maximum and an IP64 rating; and the 1123 encoder, with an overall length of 30.3-mm maximum and an IP0 for general use. Both have mounted stator couplings and blind hollow shafts.
