Polymers for Underhood Applications
Two new resins are available that stand up to long-term exposure to hot oil, calcium chloride, impact after aging, and temperatures up to 230°C. Zytel Plus nylon resin and two Zytel HTN PPA resins offer long-term protection against aggressive environments.
Zytel PLS 95G40DH1T nylon is designed to meet existing aluminum stone impact and heat and oil-aging requirements.
The two Zytel HTN92 Series PPA (polyphthalamide) resins are enhanced with the company’s Shield technology, which combines a new polymer backbone, polymer modifications, and a special set of additives. The resins deliver performance above that of nonaromatic polyamides.
