New LPK+ right-angle gear reducers are for servo applications demanding low-to-medium precision. The reducers are available in five sizes with acceleration torques to 250 Nm, torsional backlash <10 arc-min, and peak speed of 6,000 rpm. The gearhead comes with 10 reduction ratios from 3:1 to 100:1, and a 1:1 ratio in the LK+. The LPK+ is also available with an optional rack-and-pinion system and shaft couplings. Applications include: Cartesian robots with timing-belt drives; X-Y axes with rack-and-pinion drives in medium-precision flatbed machines; positioning feed-rate applications; and high-speed axes for feeding, cutting, slotting, erecting, and sealing.
