Silicone Bonds Medical Assemblies

Dec. 9, 2004
Proprietary silicone bonding improves medicalinstrument grip and sleeve design, function, and safety.

The process creates a hermetic seal between the silicone and overmolded components. The seal withstands repeated autoclaving and inhibits the migration of body fluids between sealed surfaces. The silicone easily colors so stainless-steel and aluminum instruments can have a customized look.
