The DT 200-SM rotary stage from the Feinmess Dresden Div. of Steinmeyer Group (feinmess.de), delivers the accuracy, repeatability, and speed needed by manufacturers in the semiconductor, laser, and medical industries. Positional accuracy, for example, is ±0.15°, repeatability is ±0.01°, and top speed and acceleration are 120°/sec and 1,000°/sec2.

The device is driven by an internal dc stepper motor and uses an onboard motion-control card. It measures 30-mm tall and 205-mm long. It weighs 2.8 kg but can handle 10-kg loads. A preloaded ball bearing provides rotational guidance, and an adjustable three-point base simplifies mounting.
