Radel LTG-3000 polyethersulfone and Udel LTG-2000 polysulfone are designed to replace conventional poletherimides (PEIs) and high-heat polycarbonate/PEI blends in automotive forward lighting applications.
Both resins sport high flow properties, so they mold thinner-walled parts with high-quality surfaces that can be directly metallized. LTG-2000 withstands temperatures to 347°F (175°C) and has tensile and impact strengths of 10.2 kpsi (70.3 MPa) and 1.3 ft-lb/in. (69 J/m), respectively. LTG-3000 resists temperatures to 400°F (205°C), has a 12-kpsi (83 MPa) tensile strength, and a Notched Izod Impact strength of 1.6 ft-lb/in. (85 J/m).
