New Product: 16-Channel USB DAQ Uses BNCs

June 19, 2008
Based on the USB-1616HS Series, the USB-1616HSBNC 1 Msample/sec, 16-bit USB data-acquisition device provides the added security and convenience of BNC connectors on its differential analog inputs.

A low-latency, highly deterministic control output mode operates independently of the PC to let the digital, analog, and timer outputs respond to analog, digital, and counter inputs as fast as 2 μsec; at least 1,000 faster than PC-based USB DAQ products. Seven programmable input ranges span ±100 mV to ±10 V, full scale. An oversampling mode includes line-cycle rejection for low-level voltage measurements in the presence of ac-powerline noise. A 37-pin D-sub connector provides two 16-bit, 1-Msample/sec analog outputs and 16 digital I/O with a 4-MHz sample/update rate. Four counter inputs measure frequency, period, pulse width, or quadrature encoders up to 20 Msamples/sec.
