Hydraulic Disc Brakes

June 7, 2006
Model LWB full-circle disc brakes for forklifts and related equipment are compact and hydraulic actuated.

These units use the center hub of the wheel rim as one of the friction surfaces eliminating the need for a bolt-on-friction rotor. Made from high-strength ductile iron, these brakes use asbestos-free friction material for reliable stopping and long life. Secondary wiper seals protect the brake piston seals, and a deflector plate keeps out foreign objects. The piston seals minimize fluid displacement and come in a variety of materials. All brake components are corrosion protected. LWB brakes act as a spindle and bearing support for the load wheel and minimize temperature rises by using the wheel to absorb heat. The brakes adapt to alternative spindle-type brake applications such as reach-type lift trucks, scissor lifts, and aerial work platforms.
