Material Products: Gasketing Resin

Sept. 11, 2008
Light Weld GA-140 is a resin for form-in-place gaskets.

The resin is silicone-free and does not need to be mixed. The compound cures in ultraviolet and visible light. Beads up to 5-mm thick are said to cure in 5 sec with little outgassing.

GA-140 forms soft gaskets as a barrier against dust, air, moisture, liquids, and gases on flat flanges or in wide, shallow grooves. The material is said to adhere well to ABS, PEEK, polycarbonate, polysulfone, and PVC.
