High-temperature vortex tubes convert compressed air into two streams: one hot, one cold.

High-temperature vortex tubes convert compressed air into two streams: one hot, one cold. The tubes cool applications up to 392°F (200°C). The devices produce cold air down to –50°F (–46°C) and have a 135 to 10,200-Btu/hr cooling capacity. The use of compressed air eliminates the use of chemicals and refrigerants. Total airflow is 2 to 150 scfm at 100-psig inlet air pressure. The stainless-steel tubes resist wear and corrosion and have no moving parts.
