Heat-Activated Phenolic Tape

Sept. 1, 2005
MACtac's MACfilm IF4020 Series heat-activated, dry-film adhesive tape consists of a dry thermosetting adhesive and a 60# SCK release liner.

The nitrile-phenolic dry-film tape provides permanent adhesion to wet-laid fibers (paper), carbon, and other friction materials used in automotive OEM, heavy equipment, lawn and garden, and industrial applications. MACfilm comes in 1 and 2-mil tapes and can be preapplied in-line to raw materials or converted parts using modest heat-assist lamination (approximately 150°F). Final and complete bonding requires curing for 15 min at 350°F with continuous pressures of 50 to 250 psi.
