New Product: High-flex network cable

Oct. 11, 2007
High flex-life cable for sensor networks includes a 20 million flexcycle warranty.

Called flexlife-20, the cable gets its high flex life from use of custom compounds including thermoplastic elastomer and polyurethane cable jackets, Teflon flex facilitators and finely stranded custom alloy conductors. This design generates less heat as the cable flexes, providing a long service life. The cable is available with molded cordsets using industry standard connections, or as spooled cable supplied in 30, 100 or 200-m lengths in self-feeding packages. The flexlife-20 PUR and TPE cable jackets are oil, water and abrasion resistant, and available with up to 19 conductors. Operating temperatures are up to 105° C (221° F) and cold flexibility to –40° C (–40° F).
