New Product: Push-Wire Splices for Ballasts

Dec. 13, 2007
Lumi-Nuts, Luminaire disconnects Series 873, are designed for insulated multipole splicing wire connectors.

The newest products of the Wall-Nuts push-wire family of terminals feature the ability to daisy-chain power from one ballast to another, and an integral locking latch prevents accidental disconnection of mating halves. A touchproof design eliminates the need to disconnect the power for servicing and lets it be fed through a -in. knockout. Additional benefits include color-coding molding, keyed connector halves that protect against mismating, and on-unit markings that reduce wiring errors. A tin-plated copper current bar supplies a 6 A at 600-V electrical rating with a UL94V-0 flame rated housing for flame retardation.
