Quarter-Inch-High Converter

April 1, 2005
The D048C Series of VICBrick converters operate with input voltages of 36 to 75 Vdc and meet basic insulation requirements of 2,250-Vdc input to output.

Standard outputs include 1.0, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8 Vdc at 80 A, 2.5 Vdc at 60 A, 3.0 and 3.3 Vdc at 45 A, and 5 Vdc at 30 A. Output voltages can be trimmed up or down. The 1.0 and 1.2-V units deliver 100 A for up to 100 msec. Output currents over 50 A use double output pins. Full-load efficiencies range from 83% at 1.0 Vdc to 93% at 5.0 Vdc. Case temperatures can hit 100° C. Response time is less than 100 msec with 50% step change in load.
