New Products: DMM data-logging kit

Jan. 10, 2008
The Fluke 289 True-rms Industrial Logging Multimeter and FlukeView Forms combination kit lets users turn logged data into graphs, tables, and reports.

The Fluke 289 logging function comes with expanded memory that stores up to 10,000 readings. Users can save multiple logging sessions before PC download is necessary and review logged readings in graphical format directly on the meter display using TrendCapture.

FlukeView Forms lets users document, store, and analyze individual readings or a series of measurements and then convert them into professional- looking documents. The software provides analysis capability that the meter alone can’t provide. It lets users overlay logged data from 6 m or six time periods for conditioning monitoring applications, troubleshoot intermittent problems, or identify “cause and effect” relationships. FlukeView Forms communicates via an infrared serial interface that automatically recognizes the meter and transfers the data without any configuration.

FlukeView Forms also logs events using a data recording method that provides more detailed readings when the input signal changes significantly. The amount of signal change triggers an event making an adjustment to fit the specific test situation. The minimum, maximum, and average of readings are recorded for each event. Logging sessions can be configured to record data at specific intervals. FlukeView Forms software is also available as an option for the Fluke 287 True-rms Electronics Logging Multimeter with TrendCapture.
