Low-Cost Displacement Sensor

March 8, 2007
D-Series sensor, a low-cost displacement sensor with Temposonics magnetostrictive technology, has a measuring range of 50 to 1500 mm and a direct position output of 0 to 10V.

Linearity is better than 0.01% and repeatability is 0.005%. Position update rate is 1.5 kHz. The sensor does not require recalibration after installation. Each sensor carries a waveguide sensing element, conditioning electronics for output position data, and an IP67-rated housing. The sensor can be attached to a machine using adjustable mounting clamps. Electronic connections use standard four-pole socket DIN connectors. Supply voltage is 24 Vdc with 30 Vdc polarity with 36 Vdc overvoltage protection included.
