Pneumatic Part Sensing

Nov. 22, 2006
MS01 is a modular pneumatic system that monitors the presence, position, shape, and dimensions of parts.

An air jet from a sensor nozzle scans an object, and pressure signals are converted to electrical signals and processed by the machine control system. It compares the object's data to known good signals, and accepts or rejects the piece. An integrated air-blowing function prevents results from being incorrectly influenced by contaminants such as shavings or coolant. The MS01 uses CD01 valves and can combine up to six test modules in a single system. It is suited for a wide variety of machine tool, automotive, and industrial applications.
