A high-speed multi-GIG RT-2 connector provides up to 6.4 Gbps switched serial traffic over PD and maintains compatibility with VME64X COTS boards that do not include a PO connector. The all-aluminum unit has a powder-coat finish and measures 8U tall X 19 X 15-in. deep. A 901 Series card-guide deck accommodates a total of 12 6U X 6 mm X 160-mm boards, 10 payload slots, and two switch-card slots indicated with sapphire-blue card guides for positive board location identification. An on/off rocker switch operates the 800-W power supply, which has a nominal input at 115 to 240 Vac and operational input at 90 to 264 Vac. Output is rated at 5 Vdc at 120 A, 3.3 Vdc at 40 A, 12 Vdc at 12 to 20 pk, and 12 Vdc at 10 A. Operating temperatures range from 40 to 50°C with full load.
