Bicolor Illuminated Switch

April 13, 2006
The NL Series Ultrasubminiature bicolor illuminated switch contains two embedded, independent LEDs, with any combination of red, green, yellow, or blue.

The surfacemount switch is designed to work in tandem with other low-profile surfacemount components where space and height is limited. Feature of the switch include a 150° LED viewing angle, 50-mA at 24-Vdc electrical rating, 30,000-cycle life, contact resistance less than 50 m, insulation resistance greater than 100 M, and minimum 100-Vrms dielectric strength. The NL Series has a 160-gm force solid-detent tactile feedback, allowing for 0.5 ± 0.2-mm actuator travel. The switch and base are constructed of liquid-crystal polymer, its housing is nylon 9T, and contacts are silver-plated phosphor bronze with terminals of silver-plated brass.
