Flush-Mount Slam Latch

March 23, 2006
A new pull-to-open/push-to-close latch is for use where style and decor are important design considerations.

The flush-mount design is available in both curved and angular styles with chrome and brassplated finishes. The base latch mechanism is a push-to-close design with a retractable solid-metal pull knob that stores in the flush position. A simple touch of the knob pops up 17.6 mm above the latch flange to provide a contoured grip for opening. A straight pull on the knob releases the latch pawl. When the door is open, the knob can be push back into the flush position. Doors or drawers can be slammed shut without hurting the latch or enclosure surface. Knob surface options include bright chrome, satin chrome, and brass-plated finishes. The latch can accommodate door panel thicknesses from 2 to 25.4 mm. Installation is quick and easy in either a round drilled hole with a drilled key slot, or in a double-D hole.
