Modular Incremental Encoder

Sept. 15, 2005
The ERM 280 modular incremental encoder consists of a scanning head and scale drum without an integral bearing.

The hollow shaft encoder uses a magnetic scanning principle for resistance to contamination, targeting machine design elements such as headstocks on lathes. The encoder operates with shaft speeds up to 40,000 rpm.
