Liquid Flowmeter For Medical Devices

Jan. 6, 2005
The X115673-AW flow sensor measures nanoliter and microliter flow rates for medical, life science, and diagnostic applications.

Typical uses include drug delivery, liquid handling, analytical instrumentation, lab-on-a-chip, molecular diagnostics, and flow cytometry. The sensor permits continuous-feedback control and uses proprietary MEMSbased thermal anemometry to measure mass-flow rates of liquids in isolated flow channels. The small sensor has ultrafast-response time, high accuracy, low drift, high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, temperature and viscosity compensation, and analog-signal output. The X115673-AW liquid flow sensor incorporates standard compression-style fittings and measures flow rates from 5 nL/min to 5 L/min.
