UHMW Plastic Parts

May 19, 2005
Gar-Dur plastic parts, made from ultrahigh-molecular-weight (UHMW) polymer, are designed to function in corrosive and chemical environments, extreme cold, and where abrasion resistance is necessary.

The lubrication-free parts replace steel versions, improve performance, reduce downtime, won't absorb fluids, are quieter than metal parts, have a very low coefficient of friction, and high impact resistance. Gar-Dur parts are used in mining, pulp and paper operations, refrigeration, chemical plants, material-handling industries, and automotive assembly plants.
