New Product: Noncontacting rotary sensor

Nov. 8, 2007
The RSC 2800 Series of noncontacting rotary position sensors determine measurement angle by detecting the variation in the magnetic-field orientation due to a magnet attached to the shaft.

Circuit performs field-orientation detection and filtering that provides an analog output proportional to angular position.

Features of the sensor includes linearity of <±0.5%, 30 to 360° electrical measurement angle, –40 to 85°C operating temperature, lifespan of more than 50 million movements, and feature repeatability of <0.03% of output signal range. Static and dynamic shaft loads to 20 N in both radial and axial directions do not affect performance.
