Product Spotlight: Stainless Ball Valve

March 20, 2008
The Triac F91 stainless-steel flanged ball valve features fire-safe construction and solid unibody and pyramidal stem packaging.

A direct-mount actuator pad eliminates the need for special couplings or brackets. The valves are available with a weatherproof WE Series electric or pneumatic actuator in spring-return or doubleacting configuration. The ANSI-class 150 valves come in 0.5 to 6.0-in. sizes and comply with NACE MRO175 Standard for corrosion resistance.

The valve’s investment-cast, onepiece body is 316 stainless steel or WCB with a stainless-steel ball and blowout-proof stem. A fully machined bore provides smooth flow and clog resistance and a live-loaded pyramidal-stem packing system features a 45° primary seal with Belleville washers and chevron packing to protect against wear and stem leaks. Seat materials include PTFE, RTFE, CFTE, PEEK, as well as several hard-face and metal-metal options. An anti-static device is standard and can be specified as traceable.

The corrosion-resistant WE Series electric actuators, housed in weatherproof, die-cast aluminum housing, have hard anodizing inside and out, as well as a polyester external coating and stainless external bolts. The actuators feature an O-ring system for water an explosionproof security, an anticondensation heater with thermostat, 500 lb-in. maximum output torque, and 60/50 Hz, 12/14-sec operating time with visual position indicator.
