ROW is an in-line method of producing retaining rings in which parts are formed and then fed onto wires through their lugholes. The rings are heat treated and finished while on the wire stacks. Using ROW helps keep retaining rings from getting damaged or bent and lets them be oriented so burrs or beveled features are always on the same side of the stack, reducing handling of the rings during assembly.
