Motion Control For Heavy Payloads

Nov. 4, 2004
The ServoNut power module mates a high-performance NEMA-23 motor set directly on a zero-backlash precision ball screw to enable high accelerations of heavy payloads.

This unit is capable of 1 in., 300-lbf accelerations at 80% duty cycle as an example. The power module allows for speeds not normally attainable with ball-screw applications. With the power module, the screw remains stationary and the nut rotates to provide linear motion. This permits higher speeds, and longer strokes.
