New Products: Dc-dc converters

Jan. 10, 2008
5/3.3Vin Austin PicoTLynx Series nonisolated dc/ dc converters provide higher power and density, and faster transient response in board-mounted power applications, according to the company.

Tunable-Loop (patent pending) lets engineers improve the control loop and the transient response while reducing the amount of external filtering. The 6-A converter delivers fully rated output current at 85°C with no airflow, letting designers take advantage of full power capability of this high-density module. Standard features include programmable output voltages, remote on/ off, remote sense, monotonic startup, and overcurrent and overtemperature protection. They measure 0.48 0.48 0.25 in. (12.2 12.2 6.25 mm), and use Land-Grid-Array interconnects. It operates in temperatures from –40° to 85°C, and meet EU Directive 2002/95/EC RoHS initiatives as well as industry standard board cleaning processes.
